Actress Priyanka Chopra will be the first one ever to play 12 different roles in a film. However, actor Rajesh Shringarpure has already played 12 different characters way back in the year 2006. This was for the Marathi movie SHAMBHU MAZA NAVSACHA directed by Subhash Phadke.

Says Rajesh, ''I never realized I was creating a record of sorts while working on SHAMBHU MAZA NAVSACHA. Someone informed me about it and I was pleasantly surprised at the moment.

I have never really publicized this fact as I really do not like to spread news about myself, but I think it would be safe to say that yes I have played 12 different characters in a film.''

Priyanka Chopra and her upcoming flick What’s Your Raashee? It’s a known fact that she is essaying 12 different characters, as per the 12 different zodiac signs, but apparently and very strangely, one of them bears a striking similarity to Anandi of Balika Vadhu.

In one of the roles Priyanka essays the character of Jhankana, who is a naive village girl and a victim of child marriage. Priyanka is donning a village girl look, complete with two pig tales and a sari with dark make up.

Though we are not implying that the look is totally a copy of Balika Vadhu’s Anandi, the striking similarities like pigtails and Rajasthani pallu and bandhani ghagra do lay a heavy suspicion on the ‘inspiration’ behind the pigtails of Piggy Chops.

And oh! Did we mention even poor Jhankana is a victim of child marriage just like Anandi! Coincidence? We don’t think so!

Looks like ‘child marriage’ is the hot talk around the industry, and now silver screen is getting on with the trend and cashing in on the hot topic of child brides!

Dostana director Tarun Mansukhani has reportedly opted for Katrina Kaif instead. Sources divulge, "Katrina was chosen to play the female lead after much deliberation. Dharma Productions has auditioned dozens of new girls.

Actually, they wanted a fresh face for Dostana 2. But finally, after a tedious Google search, they felt that Katrina's 'most hit' status on the Internet makes it apt for her to play the role of the 'most hit' girl by the boys in Dostana 2."

It seems that Dostana 2 will be just as entertaining as its predecessor; however Riteish Deshmukh and Arjun Rampal will join Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham.
