Priyanka Chopra to play 12 different roles

Actress Priyanka Chopra will be the first one ever to play 12 different roles in a film. However, actor Rajesh Shringarpure has already played 12 different characters way back in the year 2006. This was for the Marathi movie SHAMBHU MAZA NAVSACHA directed by Subhash Phadke.

Says Rajesh, ''I never realized I was creating a record of sorts while working on SHAMBHU MAZA NAVSACHA. Someone informed me about it and I was pleasantly surprised at the moment.

I have never really publicized this fact as I really do not like to spread news about myself, but I think it would be safe to say that yes I have played 12 different characters in a film.''

However, the perky lady is not about to sit idle and wile way time doing house keeping as she is all set to start a chain of health gyms with of course, help from none other than her hubby.

The husband wife duo will start a chain of health gyms which will naturally specialize in yoga and other forms of fitness training. They plan to open their first health centre in the suburbs of Mumbai. After seeing the response, they plan to expand in other parts of the country.

SRK turns superhero next titled RA-1

After Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan played superheroes in Krrish and Drona respectively, SRK is all set to play a sci-fi superhero in his next titled RA-1.

Tech-savvy Shah Rukh has come up with this unique title which means 'the Egyptian sun god’. The flick is slated to be directed by Anubhav Sinha.

To be produced under his own banner Red Chillies productions, SRK is taking keen interest in the scripting of the movie. This thriller is expected to hit the floors around September.

Aditya Chopra may direct Dhoom 3 in Shah Rukh Khan

Reclusive director Aditya Chopra, who is perfectly content to oversee and remote control the YRF empire while leaving the actual direction of the films to someone else, is now excited at the possibility of Dhoom 3, especially if his wish list of actors is satisfied.

Reportedly Shah Rukh Khan , who can never say no to Adi, has consented to be part of the film. An equally important role has been offered to Hrithik Roshan. Hrithik who is fastidious to a fault sometimes, is supposed to be mulling over the offer, even as he stays busy with his home production Kites and his new film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Guzaarish.

Abhishek Bachchan will of course reprise the Jay Dixit of the earlier two films and Uday Chopra will continue to play the lovable Ali who woos all the pretty girls.

But the icing on the very crowded cake will be that Aditya Chopra will direct the film. But, and this is a big but, only if all the said actors are in place.

Farah Khan wants to play the peacemaker between Salman-SRK

The choreographer-turned-director, believes that the fight between the actors is getting longer.

"I wish I could bridge the gap. I love both of them. It's (the fight) getting longer now," Farah told PTI.

Farah, who has turned a chat-show host with 'Tere Mere Beach Mein' had Salman Khan and his mother as her first celebrity guests while she is planning to bring Shah Rukh in the final episode.

"Since Salman had never come on a chat show before and was very candid during the show, we made him the first guest. But Shah Rukh will be the last one to keep the audience hooked till the end," she says.

The two Khans of Bollywood have not been on talking terms since last year, with both taking regular digs at each other in public, after a fight at the birthday party of Salman's girlfriend Katrina Kaif.

Interestingly, Shah Rukh owned Red Chillies is one of the producers of the show.

Akshay Kumar got together to give Deepika some time off this week

After the attack of malaria in London Deepika Padukone has had no time to slow down let alone take a break. In fact she was determined to continue working through her delicate post-illness phase specially since she flew down to Delhi for the release of Love Aaj Kal and therefore lost more precious shooting days.

But then Deepika hadn’t really bargained for a unit as large-hearted as Sajid Nadiadwala’s. In spite of the lost dates the producer, director and the leading man Akshay Kumar got together to give Deepika some time off this week.

Says a source, “Since the cast involves many other permutations and combinations between Akshay and the rest of the cast they decided to let Deepika rest it out for a week and do scenes with the rest of the cast.”

Aishwarya Rai down with chest infection

'Aishwarya has taken ill and is down with chest infection and flu like symptoms. She had a high fever yesterday, but is settling down today,' he posted on his blog www.bigb.bigadda.com Saturday from Singapore.

'It's worrying to be so far away from children and not be there to look after them. Yes, they are mature and married and responsible, but children will always remain children,' he added. Aishwarya is married to Bachchan's son Abhishek.

The 66-year-old veteran is in Singapore to look after his friend and Samajwadi Party chief Amar Singh, who underwent medical treatment there.

Salman and Kamaal Khan return with WANTED

Salman Khan and Kamaal Khan made history as they collaborated with 'O O Jaane Jaana' for the film PYAAR KIYA TO DARNA KYA (1998). The song as well as the film was a huge hit and soon Kamaal Khan became a household name.

Now the two Khans are reuniting for the film WANTED that features a song titled 'Ishq Vishq'. Composed by Sajid-Wajid, the song yet again boasts of a catchy tune and though purists may argue that the song doesn't offer anything new, the fact remains that the entire project is designed as a Salman Khan mass entertainer which goes back to old school masala entertainment genre. Shahrukh hosted Malacca Chief Minister Datuk Seri to a special dinner

Bollywood heartthrob Shahrukh Khan hosted Malacca Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam to a special dinner at his residence in Mumbai's posh Banjara Hills last Monday.

"I attended a dinner at his house. He served the best Indian cuisine including briyani and thosai. I must say Malaysian (food) tastes 20 per cent less good than original Indian food. He also agreed to do one or two shoots for his new movie Happy New Year in Malacca later this year," Mohd Ali told Bernama during a brief visit here.

He said they also discussed establishing a film studio in Malacca to develop talents for the Malaysian movie industry.


"He (Khan) has a lot of experience in acting and movie production. He has given us his blessings, I hope he can give lectures and share his knowledge with us," added Mohd Rustam.

Two of Khan's movies, "One Two Ka Four" and "Don", were shot in the historical Malacca state.

Last November, the Malacca state government awarded him the title "Datuk" for promoting Malacca through his movies.

Salman terrorized by Swine Flu

Earlier it was Karan Johar and now, Salman Khan seems to be fretting over swine flu! Apparently, Sallu miya does not want to take any chance with the dreadful disease.

So, Salman along with the other star cast and crew of Wanted canceled the venue of the press conference, which was scheduled at Amby valley on Aug 12.

Reliable sources reveal, “Amby valley is close to Pune, which is largely hit by the swine flu. So, Salman took the decision keeping in mind the consequences of the situation.” The sources go on to add, “Now, the press conference will be held in Mumbai.”
