Karan Johar has pulled off another casting coup by roping in John Abraham to play the character of Luke in the Hindi remake of Hollywood film ‘Stepmom’. Given the film’s serious subject, John will most likely shed tears, instead of clothes for this flick. Sorry gals!

Karan, however, wanted a young actor for the movie and thus zeroed in on John with whom he has worked in productions like Kaal and Dostana . This time, too, Karan won’t direct but only produce the film. Siddharth Malhotra, the grandson of Prem Nath, will direct.

With John’s inclusion in Johar’s production, the speculation about Shahrukh Khan playing the lead has also come to an end.
