After the Cannes’ red carpet fiasco, Sonam Kapoor who is a die-hard Aishwarya Bachchan fan (as per her own confession) walked up to the latter at Karan Johar’s birthday party on May 25 and extended an olive branch. Sonam was excited about walking down the red carpet with Ash during the Cannes Film Festival, however, that didn’t happen.



Sonam and Ash represent the same beauty brand and chances are that these actresses might have to walk the red carpet at some event in the future. So the young Sonam wanted all to be well between her and Ash.Aishwarya was a picture of grace,” said a source at the party.

Sonam Kapoor enrolled herself in an acting course

Anil Kapoor’s elder daughter Sonam Kapoor has enrolled herself in an acting course in New York this summer. Maybe perhaps it’s her way of beating the Mumbai heat or taking a break away from the offers or the lack of offers in Bollywood…whatever Or then maybe she’s realized she needs to hone her acting skills a bit more before embarking on her home production, Ayesha.

No one really knows the exact reason behind her decision to join the acting classes but it is learnt that it is going to be a crash course for a few weeks and that she will be renting an apartment in plush Manhattan while she does her studies.

Our source close to the Delhi-6 girl also revealed that Sonam’s US based friends who studied with her in Boston earlier will also be staying with her in New York while she is there and the girls have planned to make the most of it.

We heard that lately Sonam Kapoor reached home very late at nigh at 4.00 a.m. Anil Kapoor, who was waiting for her desperately knowing the bad work out there, simply grounded her for one month. He said that no parties at all for one month just stay home. Anil just let her go for her professional commitments, which is why she attended a function arranged by an NGO, where she distributed the books to the kids. Anil Kapoor happens to be very protective about his daughters, as he knows the atmosphere of the industry.
